Review of the Total Profile Selection Processes

RACE PROFILES

I have to admit that this is a new way of looking at races for me and one that I am slowly coming to grips with, although I keep picking the wrong horses. I am pleased with the way the shorlists are working and we have found the winner in 3 of the 5 races covered which suggests that this is a sound methodology.

  • Race 1 - 2nd 11/2, 6th and 9th
  • Race 2 - W9-1, 3rd 2-1
  • Race 3 - PUP, PUP, 3rd 9/1
  • Race 4 - W7-2, 5th, PUP
  • Race 5 - L, L, 5th, W10/1

Shortlisted Horses +9.5 points

Conclusion -3.5 points

MONTHLY TRAINERS

With only 3 trainers to follow this month there selections will be few are far between, but we have got off to a good start.

Results - 2nd, 5th 25/1 and W12/1 (+10 points).

SYSTEMS CORNER

Only 1 system to date the AW Quick returners and it is vvery early days to say whether this will be a success or not. This is the last month before we break for the summer and the system returns next winter and I feel that we will continue to review this method until at least December before we can say whether it will be viable or not.

Results - 2nd, 4th, 3rd (-3 points)

STAT ATTACK

This used to be my bread and butter but in recent times I have used this methodology less frequently and I will continue to try and refine this area to search for the best trainer and jockey stats.

Results - L, W11/8, 3rd 2/1, 5th (-1.63 points)

HOT RACES

A completely new area of study for me and one that only came about thanks to the software of HorseRaceBase and Geegeez Gold. I do believe that this one area that is untapped and I am interested to see how this goes, early signs are promising.

Results - 2nd 5/1 (ew), 3rd 15/8, 4th 11/2, 2nd 8/1 (ew), W 5/2 (+1.13 points).
