Workshop Simple Sectionals. Taunton and Newcastle.
THE UNIT.
The 16.10 @ Taunton, looks a good race to put the Simple Sectionals to the test today.
I have looked @ the top 3 in the market here in depth and run the clock over them @ Taunton, the great thing about this race is all the top 3 in the market have run around Taunton. Timeform going is used for the ground description.
The times are; 1st figure, is from the 3rd last to the 2nd last Hurdle. I feel we can use this figure as a pace figure. The 2nd figure is from the 2nd last to the winning line, this is the figure to really look at mainly, as you really need this to be the best time otherwise the risk is you will not see the trip out, or you will be run down by a finisher.
The Unit 39.7//28.5 Good.
Volpone Jelois. 42.2//30.00 Good.
Roadie Joe. 46.4//Fell
Looking at these times, I think The Unit looks a super bet here today, he travelled really well when he recorded these times, only to be run out the race by Air Horse One. The ground has surely gone against Roadie Joe, who was going well when he simply just did not pick his feet up at the 2nd last. Velpone will do well to beat the selection on this evidence.
Newcastle
Ms Gillard
16.20 The top 3 in the betting have all run @ Newcastle so we can take a look and break down the last part of the race for any findings that may lead to a decent bet
What I will do here is use the 1st time 4f-2f as pace figure, then the 2nd time 2f-winning post, as the finishing speed.
Ms Gillard. 23.9//23.6
Brideys Lettuce 24.8//24.9
On Fire 25.7//25.5
Again here, we appear to have found a horse that on the clock, looks to have a massive advantage. I like both these horses today and will certainly be backing both with confidence, that I have at least well researched them.
