Lingfield 14.00 Picansort

This Lingfiled 14.00 Race is a very competitive affair and it certainly does not look short of pace. Timeform suggest this will be a contested pace race, this could mean a closer may be the best option. If you are looking for a closer then Picansort would be the best option. Personally I would rather be close to or tracking the pace, as looking for gaps or coming from off the pace is fraught with dangers. Originally I was very keen on Mossgo, but when I started digging through the times I found something that appears to strongly favour the Older horse here, these are his final 3 furlong times.

In this race also, we just cannot discount the filly Annie Salts, and I have used Lingfield times, but she has since won @ Wolverhampton and has the Brilliant, S. De Sousa in the saddle, it is likely she will run faster here than the times below, but being drawn 9 means she will need to bang out in front and stay there, if she does it that would be a very exceptional effort, she has youth on her side, and an improving filly can be very dangerous, asthey can improve faster than the handicapper can assess.

Picansort 10.6 10.5 11.3 Mossgo 10.6 10.9 11.9 Annie Salts 11.00 11.00 11.8

This is not an easy race to go looking for the winner. My big concern here is Picansort may get left behind only to be doing all the best work 2 lengths behind the winner on the home straight. Also with horses that come from off the pace, you need lady luck on your side. At the current odds and the style this horse will run it could pay to have a bet in running and go for a bigger price
