Following on from the win of KI KI yesterday I thought it would be interesting for the rest of this month to look at similar sorts of races. That is races where a large proportion of horses have won or placed on their next two starts.
14.00 Huntingdon MILITARIAN (ew)
It is difficult to run well from off the pace at Warwick and this horse finished 2nd of those that came from off the pace and finished 4th in the race overall
The winner has since won a Graded race, the second (that also came from off the pace) placed in a Listed race, the third finished 2nd on its next two runs and both the 5th and 7th have won since. Even the horse that finished 14th came out and won its next start.
17.00 Huntingdon MISS YEATS (ew)
The race in which this horse finished 5th has worked out well. The winner was upped to a Class 2 race on its next start and ran well to finish 5th (beaten 9l). The second and third have both won since, The fourth home finished 2nd and 3rd on its next two starts both of these runs were in Listed races. The sixth horse has won since, the seventh horse placed on its next run when upped in grade, the eigth horse home has placed twice since and the ninth horse has won since
