Seasons Bloom Ready to Claim first Group One in the Stewards Cup

Unfortunately only Racebets are putting up prices for this race and they make Mr Stunning the 3/5 favourite and he may be even shorter in Hong Kong. On current form only DB Pin looks likely to give the favourite a real test as they both fought out the finish of the Hong Kong Sprint with only a neck advantage to Mr Stunning. The 7/2 offered by Racebets doesn’t appeal as a bet but 5/1 or greater would be worth chancing if it becomes available on the Hong Kong tote.
Lucky Bubbles beat Mr Stunning in May last year but has been well below form in recent races and has been soundly beaten by him in recent races. It’s possible this smaller field could suit and at the right price he could be worth chancing if 8/1 becomes available on the Hong Kong tote; he is only 9/2 with Racebets which is too short.

Beauty Generation has been in great form recently having won the Hong Kong Mile here in December with many of today’s field in behind including the favourite that day Seasons Bloom. There is very little between those two runners and with last year’s winner Helene Paragon and the recent Hong Kong Cup winner also in attendance it looks tight on paper but I’m going to side with Seasons Bloom at 11/2 who should get a decent pace to run at.
