I just wonder if this is the race the trainer had in mind when the horse had his prep race over hurdles earlier this month. He is not exactly running to profile (0 wins from 8 in fields of 11 runners+), but he likes to be in the front rank which is always useful at this track and these veteran races are hardly ever won by horses racing to their profile.

The horse is a very decent stayer and another that likes to be in the front rank. This is his time of year as ll 5 wins have come when racing October to December and also all 5 wins have come when racing in races worth less than 20k.

The horse won this race this last year and I can see him running well again. All of his 3 wins have come on flat tracks. All wins have come when racing at 2m4f or less and all wins have come when racing 16 to 60 days after last race.
