Galop Marin Can Go Close in the Prix Juigne at Auteuil
Last year’s winner Device and the champion 4-year old De Bon Coeur are well clear on the ratings in this race, but they may not be fully wound up for this race first time out with bigger prizes later in the year the target. If De Bon Coeur is anywhere near fit then no one should trouble her racing off just 10-3. She will be very hard to beat off such a low weight, being the highest rated in here, but her current price of 1.5 doesn’t appeal, though she may burn them off from the front and win easily.
Two horses that appeal at big prices are Capivari at 12/1 and Galop Marin at 20/1. Both are a way below the top two on ratings, but they both come in to this race in full race fitness. Capivari fairs much better at the weights, but preference is for Galop Marin. Dominique Bressou has expressed enthusiasm for his charge Galop Marin who comes in to this race having won 2 of his last 3 races and with testing ground also a plus he can go close at a big price. Only William hill have prices up at the time of writing, but the 20/1 each way appeals in this race where many of the contenders will be lacking for fitness.
