Cheltenham Day 2

Neptune Novices Hurdle

I came into this race quite confident I was going to try and take on the fancied runners. I then started talking with Dave (Total Profiles) and I was quite rightly swayed back. I did a complete full circle and after thinking Willoughby Court may be placed up, i was then pointed out Ben Pauling has a poor record here. So now my selection will be BARCARDYS this would not be a confident selection.

Rsa

I am very aware this ground must be drying out rapidly, I think this may be a negative for the horse I fancy ACAPELLA BOURGEOIS but looking at the other horses in this field he has the best profile and the best form. The big worry is on this faster surface will he be able to use his dominant pace and gain an advantage. I will take the chance that there will be just enough juice in the ground, and he is on the up

Coral Cup. This race is lethal, I will not spend to much time on this race as quite honestly it is a dog turd in the park. We give it a wide swerve. Tin Soldier is my selection, but lest be honest we could have 8 in here and still miss the winner

Cross Country

I cannot see past CANTLOW this is my best bet of the day tomorrow. I wrote about this horse on my previous blog, and suggested a win double with On The Fringe for the Fox hunters. Unfortunately the price has gone on that selection.

Fred Winter.Diable De Sivola This again is a minefield. You cannot march into this race with any confidence there are so many in here that can win. I will pick a selection with a trainer who just missed Nick Williams saddled Coo Star Sivola last year, maybe this year the selection may have been aimed here after a good track run in November.

I have never picked the winner of the bumper, this looks even more open than usual. I will miss this race out today and happily watch
