Back-to-lay Theatre Act and Berlios

2.30 Carlisle

Theatre Act has won 3 of his last 5 races, two of which were here at Carlise, and last time out at Sedgefield. He’s up 5lb for a one and half-length victory at Sedgefield which seems reasonable considering his jockey had dropped his whip after the last and was just pushed out hands and heels to the line.

With only Bowdlers Magic looking the threat to this front-runners position upfront, he looks a good back-to-lay having twice traded to less than 20% of his BSP in-running in those two loses sandwiched in between those winning runs; he currently trades around 5.90 for a back-to-lay.

4.20 Wolverhampton

Berlios steps back up to a distance of 6 furlongs, which saw him trade very low in-running on turf in Ireland. Since his transition from turf in Ireland he has raced solely at 5 furlongs over Southwell’s all-weather track. He has a decent draw in stall four; which is important for a prominent runner that likes to stalk the pace. He currently trades around 7.0 on Betfair for a back-to-lay.
