Signs of Blessing has weight to concede all around but is by far the best in here. First time up this season he gave 11lb to Profitable and beat him very easily and on today’s terms he is better treated.
His last two races have been well below what he has been capable of, but the poor Ascot run was put down to him being dehydrated and last time out in the Prix Maurice de Gheest he looked to go off far too quick. Today’s race is quite a drop down in class and he should be able to boss this field and as long as he doesn’t go off too hard he looks a decent bet at 13/8.

4.05 Deauville, Grand Prix de Deauville
Doha Dream and Tiberian fought out the finish of the Prix de Reux 3 weeks ago, here over course and distance and there should be little between them again. Tiberian just got home a short head in front of Doha Dream and is 5lb better off at the weights so you would think he should confirm the placings again, but Doha Dream was coming off an unseating on his seasonal Debut and may have not been as sharp as Tiberian. Tiberian keeps being under-estimated and usually goes off unfancied, but he has a great strike-rate, it’s going to be close between the two and for me it comes down to any of them being a standout price.
Last year’s winner, Savoir Vivre is 16/1 for this year’s race, owing to his poor run last time behind Tiberian and Doha Dream. That race was run at a really steady pace early on, with Tiberian dictating the pace, in which Savior Vivre failed to settle, pulling really hard and probably not settling for the first half mile. When the pace picked up in the straight he was flat footed and was allowed to come home in his own time to be beaten just over 5 lengths. Considering it was his first run for 9 months and he failed to settle and then he was given an easy time late on; it wasn’t such a bad run and a much improved run can be expected this time around. He has probably been targeted at a repeat in this race and 16/1 has to be taken.
